McKayla Rose Maroney is also known as 'Mack Air Maroney', a famous American Gymnast. McKayla Rose Maroney won an Olympic gold medal in 2012 as part of the US gymnastics team. She won a Silver medal for vaulting at the Summer Olympic Games. Her parents were involved in athletics, and this led her to begin gymnastics from a young age. She is a specialist in vaulting and she is the only gymnast to successfully defend her gold medal, which she first won in the 2011 World Championship, and then defended it in 2013 Championship. The gymnast was unhappy when she was awarded the silver medal for vaulting at the 2012 Olympics and was keen to get another go for gold at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
